ISLAMABAD : The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and TikTok have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting digital safety in government schools across Pakistan. The program includes training programs and guidelines for teachers, parents, and students through workshops, seminars, webinars, and awareness videos to educate about the proper use of social media and address associated risks. Chairman PTA, Maj Gen (R) Hafeez ur Rehman, expressed PTA’s commitment to digital safety and highlighted this partnership with TikTok as a step towards a more secure online environment, hoping that other social media platforms would follow suit in collaborating with the authority for enhanced digital safety.
