Speaking during the Ministerial meeting of the Groups of Friends of the Global Development Initiative in New York, FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stressed the need for greater collaboration in the areas of finance, technology, and capacity building to achieve the objectives of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and Sustainable Development Goals . He added that the BRI is an essential tool for advancing the GDI’s objective of meeting the Sustainable Development Goals. According to him, the CPEC has spent $29 billion in energy and transportation projects. This has improved our connectivity both internally and outside and filled our energy gap. He said that the CPEC has increased Pakistan’s GDP and produced thousands of new employment. He claimed that China and Pakistan have both extended invitations to outside nations to engage in SEZs.
