Islamabad, October 11, 2021: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin accepted His Highness Nawab of Junagadh State Muhammad Jahangir Khanji, along with Dewan of Junagadh State and Chairman of Muslim Institute Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali.
At the talk the high-ranking guests made the Head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission aware of Muslim Institute’s regular activities and of the history of political self-identification of the former princely State of Junagadh at the disintegration process of the British India in 1947.
The Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin on his own part drew their attention on the fact that Kazakhstan rests in its foreign policy on a strong belief that any sort of interstate conflicts, including the ones, related to territorial claims, must be resolved by peaceful and non-violent means only, through diplomatic talks and communications.
In this regard, he particularly stressed activities of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which is the Forum, convened on Kazakhstan’s initiative for prevention and resolution of interstate conflicts across Asia.
