ISLAMABAD : In the previous nine years, 190,000 jobs have been created thanks to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a pilot project of the Belt and Road Initiatives, according to Meng Wei, spokeswoman for China’s National Development and Reform Commission. She further mentioned that the Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) on the CPEC, which focuses on collaboration in the Gwadar Port, energy, infrastructure, and industries, was established by China and Pakistan in 2013. She also added that the two sides have broadened their areas of collaboration to include agriculture, society, people’s livelihoods, science and technology, and information technology industries.
