ISLAMABAD (DAILY ITTEHAD) : Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal announced that a new era of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is beginning, with multiple projects focusing on agriculture, infrastructure, and socio-economic development. The visit of Chinese Vice Prime Minister He Lifeng holds great significance, as it will enhance economic and financial cooperation between the two countries. The minister highlighted previous achievements, including attracting $25 billion in investment and generating 8,000MW of electricity through CPEC. However, he expressed regret over the neglect of Gwadar during the previous government’s tenure. The “Decade of CPEC” was celebrated, and an international conference emphasized the implementation and prosperity of CPEC and the Belt and Road Initiative.
